We made it to Chennai this morning. It was so sad to leave Rising Star this morning and I don't think that it has really sunk in yet since we came to Chennai often and would go back. The only thing that has sunk in is that we have access to all sorts of food and a really, really nice hotel room since Jen has Platinum status at the Marriott!!! Good times!
We went to the local mall called Spencer's and did a little shopping this afternoon. It is about 4 floors of all sorts of Indian clothing, trinkets, and anything that you could want. We both got saris and had them taylor shirts and sew the fabric so that we just velcro them on! They were delivered to our hotel tonight and we are happy to have them. I think that our favorite store was one that was like a big American store with lots of movies, books, CDs, housewares, and most importantly..... CHOCOLATE!!!! Oh, how we have missed our chocolate!
We leave at 5 a.m. for our flight to Varanasi in the morning!

This is the nice, clean shiny part of Spencer's - do not be deceived! Everywhere else is a bit of chaos and people trying hard to sell you their stuff!
